"Fighting is all I care about, it's what I really do, and what I love. I've always loved it since I was a kid, but Lorenzo, my partner, is a football fanatic. I would not be shocked if Lorenzo ends up owning an NFL team. I would not be shocked... He's an awesome owner. [The Fertitta brothers are] very smart guys and they're great guys to work for. They're very generous to everybody. They would be a great fit for the NFL and they're very aggressive guys. They go into a market where a team hasn't been doing well, I think they're the guys that could turn a team around. They'd be kick ass owners."

-UFC President Dana White talks to Dan LeBatard in Miami about UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta's potential future in a sport outside of MMA (transcribed by MMAWeekly.com).

Penick's Analysis: The Fertitta's and White won't own the UFC forever. I don't think it's necessarily likely that we'll see them still on top of the company in 20 years, because there will come a time where they can cash out and make tons of money back on what they invested 11 years ago. Getting into the NFL is something Fertitta absolutely might be up for at some point in the future, and he and his brother are each worth over a billion dollars apiece so it's not out of the realm of possibility. Whether it's realistic or not is up for debate, but they absolutely would have the resources to do just that if they were interested.
