Johny Hendricks says he needs to win at UFC 158 so GSP has "nowhere to hide"

"[I] just have to win and GSP has nowhere to hide from me. Man, he's scared. That's why he wants me to keep fighting because maybe I'll lose and then he won't have to retire [before fighting me]."

-Johny Hendricks talks to MMAFighting.com about his mindset into his matchup against Jake Ellenberger at UFC 158 in March.

Penick's Analysis: That's the right state of mind to be in. He's got a tough draw in Ellenberger, no question, but all he can concentrate on is winning. Win that fight, the UFC can't deny him a title fight, and with St-Pierre not looking to go up to fight Anderson Silva anytime soon, that fight will happen. He's got to win, but if he doesn't no one will believe he'd have beaten St-Pierre anyway. This allows him a chance to keep his name in the same breath as St-Pierre come March, and another big win will give him an even higher profile into a title fight late in 2013.
